Kusuriuri is an exorcist who hunts evil spirits, whose main target is Mononoke, but he introduces himself to people as an ordinary medicine seller. He wears traditional Japanese clothing and a medicine box on his back. The main feature of his appearance is his foxlike eyes; his gaze is always sly. He is phlegmatic, very calm, silent, stoic, one might even say unemotional, deadpan. There are small patterns of red and purple paint on his face, under his eyes, on his nose and on his upper lip.
