In this alternative history, there is no hostility between the Hindu majority and the Muslim minority in India where the two have been united since the colonial period which led to Bharatiya being formed and stretching from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Myanmar. But because Myanmar was culturally different and had no similarities to South Asia, Myanmar was officially kicked out of the Bharatiya Federation in 1948.
