Ameyuri is the smallest member of her generation of swordsmen. Ameyuri's swords are the same ones used long before in the anime by Raiga Kurosuki. In her first appearance, she was thought to be a male member since neither the manga nor the databooks gave details about her gender, but already in the trailer for episode #289 of the anime Naruto: Shippūden, her voice clearly denoted that she is a woman, being thus the only one among all the generations of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
