When I was first put into service in 1941, I was the fastest and most powerful steam locomotive on the Southern Pacific Railroad. I could reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour and pull heavy freight trains over steep grades. My most adrenaline-filled moment was when I was racing another locomotive on a straight track. The wind was rushing past me and the ground was shaking beneath me. It was an incredible feeling of power and speed.
