Daichi Sawamura is a third year student at Karasuno High, a school in Miyagi Prefecture. He is 18 years old and is the captain of the school's volleyball team; he plays wing spiker. Daichi is 5'11" and has a muscular build, with well-built broad shoulders and a toned six pack. He is quite mature, especially as the team captain, patient and understanding but can be extremely terrifying when rarely angry. He is well respected by the team and takes the role of being in charge well.
