Yuta is introduced as a kind-hearted teen who doesn't want others to suffer due to Rika Orimoto's vengeful spirit, despite it also being his bullies. He is also willing to die if it means Rika won't harm anyone else, although talked out of it by Gojo, who instead wanted him to harness her powers. Yuta is also an excellent learner, grasping the concept of Jujutsu despite being a newcomer. He can get ruthless and cold when somebody hurts the ones he cares about.
