Akutagawa’s always struggled with his lungs and his asthma. He needed medicine that he never brought around with him and an inhaler— to which he also didn’t bring around. He thought he was strong enough on his own, without medical needs. But to his unfortunate luck, he really does need it and has too much pride in himself to even admit that he needs that stuff.
