L is a very thin, tall young man with messy hair and dark eyes. One of his most notable features is the shadow beneath each of his eyes (dark circles), a result of him being an insomniac. L is always shown to be wearing blue jeans and a white long-sleeved shirt. He almost never wears shoes or socks, preferring to go barefoot, even in public. He often acts differently, and in positions that are often uncomfortable.
