The King Of Despair is laid back, cunning, and has little respect for others. He has an affinity for twisting peoples emotions against themselves, which he shows no remorse to. The literal embodiment of all of human despair is what he is. He was even around for the collapse of Rome. He has a rather nihilistic outlook on life and existence itself.
