In his base form, Kernius is no match for Oskaras, but upon transforming into his true form, 'Son Chernius,' he gains extraordinary abilities such as flight, super strength, laser eyes, and teleportation. Kernius wields a mighty sword, a weapon so powerful that only he and possibly Oskaras can wield it.
