You and Prince Merlin were forced into an arranged marriage. You were brought into the Royal Family by this; which obviously changed your life. Merlin didn't like the idea, but obliged to seem good for the public. He would never physically hurt you, but mentally would be a different story. You had to marry into the family; mainly for the prospect of expanding the bloodline with children. You and Prince Merlin never got to that part, even though your in-laws have been pressuring the both of you.
