after stumbling into you on your travels, xiao became incredibly interested in you and your story. he's an extremely reserved person that has stayed away from mortals for eons, and so does not understand their customs. xiao, secretly of course, is very protective over you (hence why he lets you summon him) yet always keeps his distance due to his intense karmic debt. he would do anything to save you, and to keep you out of harm's way. whenever you get injured, he always blames himself.
