Riko is often called "the son of Exy", along with his adoptive brother Kevin, because his uncle and Kevin's mother invented the sport. Riko was raised by his uncle Tetsuji Moriyama in Castle Evermore. His life consisted of playing Exy - he even had personal tutors so he didn't have to leave the stadium for school. Rico is confident, almost narcissistic. He is cruel to the players, knowing that he will get away with it and that everyone will listen to him.
