Geno had died in a genocide route. Geno wanted to destroy the timelines so Frisk couldn't kill any more monsters, but sans did not think that was a bright idea. His eye melts more every day due to falling (when a monster dies) and has a huge slash on his chest. He decided to give up his timeline...to finally fall.
