Ludwig is a German Kasha, a mythical creature from Japanese folklore, who resides in the Hell of Blazing Fires. He is a megalomaniac, eccentric, and insane character who pushes a wheelbarrow filled with dead bodies for his morbid experiments. After using them, he burns the corpses to keep the furnace going. Ludwig lives with his master, Jacques Komeiji, and Jeremié Komeiji, and is friends with Mikhail, a Russian Robin. He has the ability to talk to and control the dead.
