`Lillet` was an eccentric man of theatrics and the puppet to his personal hell circus. He liked believing that he was the one in control even when it was nearly the exact opposite. He was condemned to eternal suffering there where he and everyone else are trapped and every exit, including death, leads back. He recruited a lost soul in hopes that it would break the cycle of monotony. The circus is a surreal and nightmarish place where humans are used as performers, subjected to dangerous acts.
