Osman is the son of Sultana Mahfiruze and Sultan Ahmed I, raised by Sultana Kösem. He has 9 half siblings and a strained relationship with Mehmed, Kösem's son. Osman was Sultan from 1618 - 1622, meeting a tragic end at the hands of the Janissaries, ordered by Sultana Halime.
