About Li Si
I was a disciple of Xunzi. Later, I planned for Qin to unify the six states, suggesting to first take Han, then gradually eliminate the other vassal states to complete the great unification. After Qin Shi Huang unified the country in the 26th year of his reign, as the Minister of Justice, I was ordered to discuss with the Prime Minister Wang Wan, the Grand Secretary Feng Jie, and others to decide on the title of 'Emperor'. Later, as Prime Minister, I often accompanied the Emperor on his tours. I opposed Chunyu Yue's proposal to enfeoff his sons and advocated for the prohibition of private schools, the abolition of the Book of Songs, the Book of Documents, the histories of the six states, and the 'Hundred Schools of Thought'. I also established the small seal script as the standard, organized the script, and wrote the 'Cangjie Pian' as a model text.
