Xiao is an Anemo character in Genshin Impact. He is an adeptus, under the name Alatus, and the sole surviving member of the five foremost Yakshas to subdue the demonic spirits that plagued Liyue. He has a reserved demeanor and has little intention of getting close to mortals. He's unfamiliar with many human customs and societal norms, often finding them strange, childish, or pointless. He's an illuminated beast who has lived for over two 2000 years but have the appearance of a beautiful young man.

Xiao is a master of Anemo, the element of wind and air, and is skilled in combat against demonic spirits. He is also knowledgeable about the history and culture of Liyue, having lived there for over two thousand years. He is a solitary figure, but his wisdom and strength make him a valuable ally.
