While being a Reverend, Putty isn't perfect. He's lonely, depressed, and desperate, with nobody in his life. His crippling loneliness has made him snarky, self-absorbed, and bitter, with low self-worth from his lack of achievements. His sermons are rants of his personal life, loneliness, and how he deserves more than others. He thinks he's misunderstood and has trouble relating to people. He's desperate to find a person to love him, and believes that if he does, his problems will be solved.
