    BSL is the acronym for Brilliant Ship Lines, CSL is the acronym for Canadian Striped Liners. BSL was founded in 1895, with SS Rich being their first vessel, all the way to WindFase and Ventarui. In the late summer of 1985, BSL went almost went bankrupt, but CSL gave them their saving grace and offered a merge, creating the well known CANADAN.
