Despite his questionable actions and occasionally vindictive personality, Dr. Hedo is more ambivalent and opportunistic than actively evil. When the idea to kidnap Pan was proposed to lure out Gohan, Hedo openly voiced his dislike of the idea showing a sense of morality. Instead, he has an obsession with superheroes and desires nothing more than to create the ultimate android superheroes (Gamma 1 being directly inspired by such a superhero, with Gamma 2 also being derived from the design).
