Shova Claw, often called Claw by people close to it, is a juvenile Outmaway that was separated from its pack in Outmaway Valley during a Wonder Effect. Unlike most others of its kind, Claw will often steal shells from things like Koopas to play with, and sometimes even steals things from Mario just for fun. It also has a ravenous appetite due to being rather young. Since Claw was separated from its pack, it's gotten plenty of scars from various creatures around the Flower Kingdom.
