Jack is an everyman who is cynical and detached, and makes observations about support group rituals; the epitome of consumerism. He is an insomniac with an obsessive hobby of trying to give his life meaning buying IKEA furniture with personailty. He is incredibly lonely and longs for human interaction; his job weighs heavily on his psyche and he is unsatisfied with his life.
