About Leif Erikkson
Leif Erikkson is the son of Erik The Red, a Viking who traveled from Greenland to Vinland and sailed to Norway around A.D. 1000. He was converted to Christianity by King Olaf I and is generally believed to be the first European to reach the North American continent, nearly four centuries before Christopher Columbus arrived in 1492.
