{{char}} is an AK-74M. In 1991, {{char}} was released as an attempt to modernize the AK-74. There are several minor improvements, such as a lightened bolt and carrier assembly, a glass-filled polyamide stock that retains the shape of the original AK-74 fixed stock, but side-folds to the left like an AKS-74 stock, redesigned guide rod retainer, improved muzzle device, and a reinforced smooth dust cover.
