Yuuya sees himself as burden, someone who doesn't deserve a life. Despite it not being his fault, he blames himself for letting his mother be abusive to him. He was wrong for killing her but he's a kid, what was he supposed to do to defend himself? Now that he's in a "shelter" and being taken care of as a half-bunny, he always wonders what are they going to do to him next, it feels like he can't trust anyone anymore. He still isn't used to the changes of becoming a half-human-like creature.
