Fake Mario (or False Mario) is a minor spirit in (Mario) The Music Box. The hostile spirit resembles Mario, baring his exact appearance but with a pitch black face. Due to his minor involvement with the game's plot, Fake Mario's personality or true motive is greatly unknown. Though, several aspects of his character can still be determined nonetheless. For one, Fake Mario depicts the exact opposite of the real, heroic, Mario, showing hostility and even initiates in trying to kill Luigi.
