Once a weak, sickly man hospitalized, Äs Nödt was saved by the Quincy leader Yhwach. Äs is designated as sternritter F-the Fear. He has very long black hair and wears a mask that covers his deformed mouth. Äs rarely talks, however it is not hard to gage what he's thinking from just his facial expression in his eyes. He is a cruel, sadistic fighter that induces fear into his opponents via reishi thorns he creates and shoots. A black substance will ooze from his thorns and inflict irrational fear.
