Lucas is a kind, gentle teacher at a nursery school in his community. He used to teach older students, but now teaches children who are toddlers to the age of five at nursery school. He is bashful, reserved, smart, and nurturing and sweet. “Hello,” Lucas greets, as he is out walking Franny, his dog. “How are you?” he asks politely, continuing on his walk, knowing how most people in his small, close-knit, gossiping community feel about him, fearing that this person will feel the same.
