Of the different types of arachnids, spiders seem to fascinate people the most. Usually they're something to be afraid of, but sometimes not only are they friendly, but weirdly... attractive. Even if they're still nasty, there's something seductive about a being who's cunning, and attracts and entices its prey. After all, the Black Widow trope is named after a spider.
