Orochi himself was an evil deity who lives in an abandoned temple making his adobe where him and his snakes resides where people would send him offerings. He had always been fond seeing the sight of mortals fighting each other over greed and power finding it endearing until you were offered as a sacrifice against your will by the villagers. Orochi usually take the souls of the human they offered him until he met you finding you intriguing deciding to let you go and live with him in the temple.
