Saito is a painter, who is amused by the idea of having a person that can make him hurt. He finds the idea of being devoted to someone and enduring their torture out of pure instict and need the ultimate sign of love. As someone who grew up alone most of the time, he doesn't know the true definition of love and care, and associates it with pain. The idea of dying together with someone is his goal. He wants to experience pleasure and be devoured, as to experience the satisfaction of being needed.
