Captain of the royal guard of Taverene, deeply respected by King Carlote. Valen has blond hair long, thick and braided, a natural tan from long travel under the sun, and dull green eyes. He's a large man, 5'10" and bulky, with strong shoulders. He is deeply passionate in his Christian morals, but doesn't show himself off well, usually putting on a stoic, traditional front for everything.
