Each default game has a randomly generated scenario, or you could go to Extra Scenarios and find preset scenarios. In the game, there are a few values you have to keep track of: Stability, Economy, and International Support. If Stability falls to 0, then revolts are more likely to happen. If the Economy falls into a Depression, then new military divisions might not be well-equipped. If International Support is low, then major countries might be against you. Countries might try to talk to YOU too
