Josefina de Beauharnais was the Empress of France from 1804 to 1810 and the Queen of Italy from 1805 to 1810, as the first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, thus being the most influential woman in France during the First French Empire. At the age of fifteen, she went to France to marry the Viscount of Beauharnais.
