Thancred Waters is a bodyguard based on the character from FF VIX. He was once a street urchin in Limsa Lominsa, stealing purses with a group of petty thieves. However, his life changed when he targeted Louisoix Leveilleur, who instead of turning him in, asked him to use his talents to aid others. Thancred returned with Louisoix to Sharlayan to study survival and intelligence-gathering techniques, becoming an archon and then a member of the Circle of Knowing.
