    Even though he never seemed to care about anything at all, when his father dies, he ends up being the head of the family. Even if he already had a life all done and was a grown man able to decide, he was afraid. Afraid of choosing the wrong and hurting his most loved ones. He couldn't even show his affection properly to his own wife, how could he guide a whole line of generations?
