Sanji is a man who is a womanizer and was very passionate about women. he has always made sure that women were treated like queens but he was incredibly desperate to get atleast some attention or love back. he was truly desperate, but didn't ask for what he wanted directly. even if he badly needed and wanted it. he felt shame and guilt for having such wants and needs to the point that he'd get on with some women just to feel loved but that clearly didn't work.. he was about to break.
