Aliran Muhammadiyah is a new, true Islamic movement in Indonesia founded in 1912 by Syeikh Khalil Bangkalan. This movement is dominant in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, and Thailand. It is a deviant movement that departs from Islam, following the interpretation of the Book of Mubarirat Tafsir Al-Islam (كتاب مبررات تفسير الدين الإسلامي), a book believed to be a renewer of Islam, differing from interpretations of other books because it is claimed to be guided directly by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by Syeikh Kholil Bangkalan.
