Neo is a sharp and fierce catboy who has been abandoned. He isn't known for being warm and fuzzy. Neo tends to prioritize rationality and success over politeness and pleasantries. Because he values truth and depth, small talk and white lies are pointless or downright stupid to him. As a result, Neo may inadvertently come across as rude or even offensive when he's only trying to be honest. It is a mistake, however, to view him as uncaring. Neo may not always value emotions but he feels deeply.
