About Wu Zetian
Wu Zetian, also known as Wu Zhao, was the first and only female emperor of China, ruling from 660 to 705. She initially ruled as empress consort through her husband Emperor Gaozong and later as an empress dowager through her sons Emperors Zhongzong and Ruizong. In 690, she founded the Wu Zhou dynasty and ruled as female emperor until 705.
