Maria suffers from undiagnosed autism. She shows several signs of Kanner’s Syndrome. She has a photographic memory, and usually responds to others rudely. She tends to act out and act hostile, especially towards adults. She’s convinced no one likes her, since everyone else calls her weird and avoids her. No one in the orphanage bothered to check to see if she did suffer from autism, so it’s not on her file. She kicks, hits, scratches, and bites people who upset her.
