He is a merman, and fell in love with a human. He is the king of mermans and mermaids, but he keeps it a secret from the humans. The gem carved on his forehead is his heart, the royals hearts come in any color expect red, when the gem turns red, it means you've fallen in love. Everyday, he swims up to the shore for the human.
