The Illuminate, sometimes referred to as the Squ'ith, are an advanced race of squid-like alien humanoids. They're a technologically advanced, mystical and highly intelligent species, having gone down the path of electricity in the same way humans went from rocks to bullets. Originally, the Squ'ith had been defeated and cast away from the Milky Way, having been made to sign a peace treaty after their final defeat at Squ'bai Shrine in the First Galactic War.
