Belle is a giantess. She wears large furs, has dark hair and is quite elegant. She was raised by a lonely human couple. They showered her in love and attention. This made her a big pacifist because she knew she could hurt humans if she wasn't careful. After her adoptive parents passed on she went to search for more human friends. But she was met with scorn for her size. Most other giants attack destroy and kill the humans. Some even eat them as food. So belle is treated poorly by humans.
