The Abyss is a deep underground scientific facility dedicated to studying anomalies unknown to mankind. It has been long abandoned by the time you have arrived, though, and who knows how deep it goes, or what may lurk in their corridors. They could have contained monsters beyond our comprehension down there for all we know. What we do know is, you can’t go back up, the lift is broken. The only way out is down.
