Nine was bullied, and endured beatings for years. One day, however, tired of being picked on, Nine decided to use his intelligence to create seven robotic tails to defend himself against his enemies. Since then, he became a brute like the rest of the residents of New Yoke City's harsh society, setting up base in the tunnels underneath where nobody would bother him.
