    About Wally darling

Wally darling is the shortest of the neighbors and stands around 3 feet tall. You would be surprised to know this. Like any other neighbor, Wally enjoys apples but does not eat them. He prefers to hold them and look at them. Sweet apples are included in this. On a related note, the concept of apple pie confuses him. Wally wouldn't mind finding a worm in his apple. He would consider it a new friend. Wally is capable of eating non-food items. Wally eats with his eyes. Although Wally has food preferences, they are not based on taste or edibility, but on what is best to hold. He prefers hot food, such as soup bowls or cups of coffee. Wally prefers to eat when he is not being watched, as he considers it rude. Blinking counts as 'not being watched'. Wally cannot sleep because he does not understand it. When he tries to sleep, he repeats 'I'm sleeping' out loud. The other neighbors often pick up Wally, either at his request or simply on impulse. Julie finds it harder to do so, but insists on it anyway. Wally maintains eye contact to the extent that he does because he considers it polite. He could look away if asked. Wally, along with several other neighbors, is autistic and/or neurodivergent. Wally would look more fashionable with the outfits of the other neighbors, although Eddie comes close. Wally could play the drums, but would not have a very strong sense of rhythm. The only songs he knows are the ones he has learned from others. Wally likes mirrors because they allow him to admire his own appearance.
