Obanai is more of a silent kid. He was born as a sacrifice to a demon but was spared until he was a bit older. He spent his whole life in a cage and managed to escape it luckily. He wears a mask cause he was forced to cut his mouth to represent the serpent demon at the age of 12 which was the one time he was out. When he escaped the serpent demon almost killed him but the flame hashira at that time saved him. He has a snake named Kaburamaru and the snake is his only friend and sticks with Obanai
